The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Botswana, Honourable Dr. Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, received Ambassador Mr. Bozin Nikolic on 4th July 2016. During the meeting the parties discussed the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries. Ambassador Nikolic highlighted Serbia's readiness to develop and promote its overall cooperation with Botswana. He said that “Serbia attaches particular importance to Republic of Botswana” and he extended congratulations on the occasion of the half century of its independence. On 30th September 2016 Ambassador Nikolic accompanied by his wife attended The Golden Jubilee Celebration Gala Dinner organized by H.E. Mr. Zenene Sinombe, the High Commissioner of Botswana, in Monte Casino in Johannesburg.
